Membership Application

Annual Subscriptions to Join VMA

1. Membership, BOTH Active and Allied is for 12 months, from the date of approval. (Not sure if you are Active or Allied? (Check Here)

2. Once membership is approved, Members will receive their annual renewal invoice on the 12 month anniversary date of joining. (Members who joined PRIOR to June 30, 2007 will continue to receive their renewal invoices in December each year for payment by January 1st, the next year)

NOTE: Membership to the VMA is personal, not corporate. Membership is NOT transferable between employees and remains with the individual member if their employment should change. The decision for employers to pay an individual's VMA membership, does not in any way change the personal and individual status of VMA membership.

How do I join?

You can pay on your invoice by direct deposit, credit card or cheque. To apply for membership, please download this Membership Application pdf to fill out and fax back or fill in the application form at the bottom of this page, after which an invoice will be sent to you with payment details.

NOTE: If accepted for membership of the VMA you agree to abide by the conditions of membership contained within the Memorandum and Articles of Association of the Company which is freely available to all members on the VMA web site or by request to the VMA office. In completing the application form you agree to the conditions of membership, including VMA's Privacy Policy.

Membership Type

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA FOR ACTIVE, ALLIED & STUDENT MEMBERSHIP, THEN SELECT THE MEMBERSHIP CATEGORY THAT APPLIES FROM THE DROP DOWN BOX.

ACTIVE MEMBERSHIP:

Individuals employed at any level of operations in a public venue, whether publicly or privately owned, may apply for Active Membership. Public venues shall include arenas; stadiums; convention and exhibition centres; theatres; performing arts centres; concert halls; amphitheatres; showgrounds; race courses; function facilities; sport, leisure, recreation and entertainment centres. Active Members have voting rights, may nominate for election to the Council and hold office in the Association.

ALLIED MEMBERSHIP:

Individuals who are allied to the public assembly venue management industry in a professional capacity and who by reason of their association, knowledge and/or professional interest in the public assembly venue management industry provide goods and services may apply for Allied Membership.

STUDENT MEMBERSHIP:

Individuals who are currently studying a venue industry course at a Tertiary level at a recognised College, University, TAFE or other institution, but are not actively working in a full time position within the Active or Allied industry membership may apply for Student Membership.

Membership is personal so please detail YOUR role in the venue.

PLEASE NOTE: REGARDLESS OF WHETHER YOU OR YOUR EMPLOYER OR COLLEGE PAYS THE FEES, MEMBERSHIP IS PERSONAL NOT CORPORATE AND APPLICANTS MUST COMPLETE ALL SECTIONS

I HEREBY APPLY for membership of the Venue Management Association (Asia & Pacific) Limited which is a Company limited by guarantee. If accepted for membership I agree to abide by the conditions of membership contained within the Memorandum and Articles of Association of the Company which is freely available to all members on the VMA web site or by request to the VMA office. In acknowledging this application form you agree to the conditions of membership, including VMA’s privacy policy.

Limited Responsibility: In the event that the Company is wound up while I am a member thereof or within one year thereafter I UNDERTAKE to contribute an amount not exceeding Fifty Dollars ($A50.00) to the assets of the Company to be used for the purposes defined in the Memorandum of Association namely: (i) the payment of debts and liabilities of the Company contracted before I ceased to be a member thereof, and/or: (ii) the payment of costs and charges and expenses of winding up, and/or;

(iii) for the adjustment of the rights of contributories amongst themselves.

I understand that membership is annual from the date of approval & notification and I am making payment in Australian dollars for the joining fee and subscription ONLY for that period, in accordance with the schedule of fees below.
