The Royal Agricultural Society of NSW (RAS) is one of the largest venue and event management organisations in Australia. The Sydney Showground site is operated by the RAS with such iconic events as the Sydney Royal Easter Show (SRES), major music festivals and V8 Supercars along with hundreds of other events and exhibitions staged annually. Sydney Showground is also the home to the Greater Western Sydney Giants AFL team.

We are looking for an experienced Coordinator to provide administrative support to the Food & Beverage department, with particular emphasis and focus on the coordination of casual staff. Whilst this role is primarily administrative, a large component will be event operations based, requiring you to get hands on for event days.

Picture yourself working alongside a team of technical experts, building the essential audio visual  components to support a wide range of large scale events, intimate functions, meetings and training across the Centre.

As the Technical Supervisor - Audio Visual, you will provide operational and strategic audio visual support to the Technical Coordinator and Technical Manager. You will lead and motivate a team of casual team members, ensuring all tasks are complete both pre and post event to the highest of standards.

You will build effective working relationships with all hirers and their representatives to ensure each onsite event is conducted professionally and successfully.  You will regularly maintain equipment as required to ensure compliance with Workplace Health and Safety regulations and work alongside your manager to update, develop and implement systems and procedures within the technical department.

The Perth Theatre Trust (the Trust) is a statutory authority established and constituted under the Perth Theatre Trust Act 1979 to oversee the management and operation of theatres vested or leased to the Trust by the State Government.  The Trust is responsible for the care, control, management, maintenance, operation and improvement of theatres under its control which currently includes the Albany Entertainment Centre, His Majesty’s Theatre, Subiaco Arts Centre, Perth Convert Hall, State and Theatre Centre of WA.

This is a full-time, fixed-term vacancy, commencing in February 2015 until 31 December 2017.  Interviews for this position will be held in January 2015.
