With the new stylish multi-purpose indoor/outdoor facility at Claudelands, this is an exciting opportunity for you to be part of the team growing the culture of events in our city. Conferences and functions are a huge part of the business plan for our Events Facilities unit and we have a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Conference and Functions Manager to join our team.
This role will be largely focussed on growing and maintaining clients specifically for Claudelands Events Centre and handling the logistics associated with the events. To be successful in this role, you'll have significant experience in the conference and function industry with a tertiary qualification to match; a good understanding of catering would also be an advantage. Your great organisational skills and attention to detail, along with your understanding of a range of computer programmes will enable you meet all the demands of this busy role. You'll be a keen multi-tasker as this demanding environment can be a lot to handle; but your strong leadership skills and ability to work autonomously will help you to get great results. A strong customer service focus will allow you to successfully interact across a variety of stakeholders to secure new business, maintain existing relationships and represent the Event Facilities team with clients, vendors and all attending events at Claudelands.

The salary range for this role is $52,000 - $60,000.
