CENTRE MANAGER, TAMWORTH SPORTS DOME

The Sport Venues and Development Division of Tamworth Regional Council is seeking the services of a versatile and enthusiastic individual with experience in Facility/ Sports Management and or managing events.

You will be responsible for managing a dynamic sports centre that boasts 6 indoor courts, 18 outdoor courts, multi-purpose/function space and other quality facilities. This state of the art facility will host some great events in 2012 and beyond including the U16 National Basketball Championships, the Eastern University Games and a Sydney Kings Pre-Season NBL series.

Your role will involve continuing the growth of this fantastic venue through local usage and significant events. You will be responsible for managing the effective operation of the venue including preparation & management of programs, budgets and the implementation of business plans/strategies.

Well developed communication/negotiation skills as well as the ability to lead and develop a team are essential.

The applicant will need to possess a Degree or Tertiary qualification in a discipline related to the position (or equivalent experience) as well as hold a current Drivers Licence.

This position has been classified as a Grade 18 with a salary range of $1378.60 to $1491.90 for 38 hours work per week. The hours of work will be determined on a 4 week roster arrangement including some evening and weekend work. Tamworth Regional Council offers a range of employee benefits to successful applicants.
